Abstract
The SCImago Journal & Country Rank is the portal for the evaluation of scientific journals based on the information contained in the Scopus (Elsevier) Database1. The platform is named after the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) Indicator, developed by the Scimago research group. The SJR indicator is based on the calculation of citations received by journals over a 3-year period, giving greater weight to citations from highly prestigious journals and restricting self-citations to only 33% of the count2. That is, the SJR of 2018 corresponds to the citations collected in that year, from articles published in the years 2015, 2016 and 2017. It goes without saying that this index is the most important received by Nephrological Nursing at an international level, within the subject of Nursing and the category of Advanced and Specialised Nursing.
