Abstract
Objetivo: Investigar la relación entre la satisfacción con la vida en general, el sentido del humor y la ansiedad, la depresión y el estrés con la felicidad subjetiva en pacientes con enfermedades renales crónicas que se someten a hemodiálisis. Material y métodos: Se desarrolló un estudio transversal y correlacional en dos unidades de la clínica de diálisis Diaverum y en una unidad del hospital, con 183 pacientes de enfermedad renal crónica sometidos a hemodiálisis. Se utilizó un instrumento para caracterizar el perfil sociodemográfico y clínico de la muestra (edad, sexo, nacionalidad, educación, ocupación, estado civil, duración de las sesiones de diálisis, presencia de hipertensión y diabetes): la escala subjetiva de felicidad; la satisfacción con la vida en general; la escala 21 de depresión, ansiedad y estrés; y la escala multidimensional del sentido del humor. Los procedimientos inferenciales incluían coeficientes de correlación de Spearman y regresión lineal múltiple que se ajustaba a la edad, el estado civil, la actividad profesional y la diabetes. Los resultados: La Felicidad Subjetiva se correlacionó positivamente con la satisfacción con la vida en general, y las tres dimensiones del Sentido del Humor. Sin embargo, la felicidad subjetiva se correlacionó negativamente con el estrés/ansiedad y la depresión. La satisfacción con la vida en general, la producción de humor y el uso social del humor, y la actitud hacia el humor tuvieron una relación positiva con la felicidad subjetiva. Sin embargo, la depresión tenía una relación negativa con la felicidad subjetiva.
