Abstract

Dear Editor-in-Chief of the journal Enfermería Nefrológica,
From my responsibility as peritoneal dialysis member of the Spanish Society of Nephrological Nursing (SEDEN), I would like to contribute some reflections on the care of the healthy peritoneal catheter outflow hole (SEDEN), I would like to contribute some reflections about the cure of the healthy outflow orifice of the peritoneal catheter to focus the approach of evidence applied to clinical practice. One of the goals of nursing care in the peritoneal dialysis setting is to prevent and treat catheter-related infections to avoid a major complication, peritonitis. As postulated by the International Society Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) in 20171.
