Sociedad Española de Enfermería Nefrológica: retos para un nuevo tiempo

Abstract

I take advantage of this opportunity provided by the editorial of our journal to reach out to each of your workplaces and residences, conveying my warm greetings along with those of the new board of directors of the Spanish Society of Nephrology Nursing (SEDEN).

We commence this new term with the awareness and responsibility that come with taking up the mantle of the work initiated many years ago by colleagues who have trusted and advocated for the unity of Nephrology Nursing. We appreciate and recognize the importance of this unity.

We will preserve all the positive aspects left by the previous Boards of Directors as their legacy, and we will continue the exciting task of working for our profession. Our goal remains comprehensive professional development in favor of our patients and our teams.

Professional development, particularly fostering research activities in collaboration with universities, will be a priority. Substantial and robust research is the foundation for advancing competencies in advanced practice nursing, and it is also the raison d'être of our journal. Through our collective efforts, the journal should stand among the best sources of evidence.

We will continue to address the educational needs of nephrology nurses promptly, aligning with scientific and technological advancements. Moreover, we will strive for the introduction and development of current and future tools that facilitate nursing care in all its facets.
