Abstract
We are about to start the long awaited summer holidays, which will undoubtedly help us to rest and recharge our batteries so that we can look forward to autumn. We will need them, because our patients will need us strong and serene, in these difficult times of the health system. Almost three years have passed since we started as the Board of Directors of SEDEN. It seems incredible, but this congress in Ávila will be our third. You all know that the new candidates for the SEDEN Board must be presented before the 15th of July; I encourage you to do so. And I encourage you from the conviction that it is worth it. A society as vital and essential as ours deserves that some of you bet on leading it by submitting your application, I'm sure that some of the candidates would like to get involved. The SEDEN is a good vehicle to facilitate communication, accredit our training and transmit our aspirations to other institutions, but for its strength to be effective it must not only have many associates but they must also participate dynamically.
